College game day. In Louisville, those three words are taken very seriously. And by seriously, I mean tailgates, food, friends, red and black spiritwear, and most importantly, cheering on the cards football team. Unfortunately for the 2020 season, Covid-19 has left many people seeking other options to watch and celebrate UofL games. After much research, my friends and I decided Public House by AtG was the move.

They feature a $15 bucket special for all UofL games with your choice of any five Against the Grain beers. We tried the Pile of Face (American India Pale Ale), Retitled Pils (Lager), and A Beer (Super American Premium Lager). Personally, I had never tried AtG beer and this was the perfect opportunity!

For those that don’t know, Against the Grain Brewery and Smokehouse was Louisville’s first brewer-owned and operated brewery that opened in 2011. After many years of success, in 2019 they opened the Public House which specializes in unique pub fare and AtG’s world class beers. The building itself had such a cool atmosphere from the outdoor patio seating to the inside full bar and sign wall. Upstairs included multiple seating options, plenty of TVs showing the game, and even board games!

Next time you are looking for the best spot to watch a football game and enjoy yourself, I recommend checking out Public House by AtG. Such a great experience!
